Relentless disruption and rapid change are coming at us daily like a firehose and there is no end in sight. We often feel like a pinball careening around in a pinball machine at the mercy of the latest bad news, the latest crisis and the latest threat.
Add to this the fact that public discourse has become painfully harsh and abrasive, disrespectful and demeaning. It's as though we're using any opportunity at all to vent our frustration and anger, and to say whatever we're thinking, unfiltered, with little or no regard for how it lands or who is hurt or insulted.
How do we stay grounded, calm and productive — indeed flourish — amidst all this chaos, uncertainty and hostility?
In my Lecture and Q&A Series 2025 “The Inspired Mind: Thriving in the Disruption,” I'll talk about how there is no way to stay grounded, no exit ramp from all the fear and anxiety, no pathway to peace of mind and happiness amidst the distraction, chaos and hostility unless we anchor in love — compassion, understanding and kindness — towards ourselves and others.
I believe this moment has the potential to be a turning point, the chance to heal our minds and hearts, embrace the fact that everyone is struggling with something and that we are in this together. This is how we'll anchor in love and opportunity and this is how we'll thrive in the disruption.
