How many of you have had the experience of driving somewhere and arriving (safely!) at your destination, but if you thought about it, you’d really have no clear recollection of how you got there or what you saw or passed along the way?
We’re really on automatic pilot much of the time, functioning mechanically according to a to-do list without being fully aware of what we’re doing or experiencing.
We are often totally unaware of the unfriendliness of our own thoughts, the fear they generate, and how these thoughts impact our feelings and behaviour.
I’m opening my 2024 Talk series with a session on Mindfulness because Awareness is the key to making the meaningful and transformational changes we may want in our lives. Awareness is the key to happiness and peace of mind. And Mindfulness is one of the most effective gateways to upping that Awareness that I know.
